Oarsmans Bay Lodge
Resort, 10-Bed Mixed Dormitory Room
Nacula Island, Fiji
Nestled in a natural sanctuary of breathtaking beauty and rare serenity, Nacula Island Lodge is a haven for nature lovers seeking to retreat, relax and rejuvenate in a tropical paradise. The fully air-conditioned dorm is built on the first floor above the main dining and bar area to capture the Fiji island sea breeze. It features a large deck that overlooks the spectacular Nalova Bay. Downstairs there are shared bathroom facilities. Whether you are a culture vulture looking to connect with the special Fijian Island Life, a keen scuba diver, snorkeller or hiker, or you’re just seeking a dose of rest and relaxation in paradise, Oarsman’s Bay Lodge has a great range of activities for everyone.
❝Oarman’s Bay has struck that perfect chord between solo down time and communal living. The best thing about this place (besides the staff) is the food. Whilst there is a set meal plan with one option, if you eat fish, it is the best meal you will ever eat. They made such an effort even making a cake for one of the guests for their birthday. The resort itself offers daily activities (bring cash for some of these, and credit card for all other payments) but if chilling, snorkelling, kayaking or swimming is your cup of tea all these are included for free. There is a reef just in front of the resort for those on a budget. The waters here are crystal clear. The island felt remote but not too secluded. And lucky for me I met some great guests who all shared the same ‘solo but communal’ vibe. This place is not a party party place, but more of a big happy family (kids included). Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay. Would definitely come back.❞
❝Very nice place with a stunning beach and great coral reef to snorkel right in front of the hotel. Really nice dorm, very spacious and single beds only. Very recommendable!!!❞
Great diving and ideal hiking conditions (hello, no cars!), Nacula has got you covered for activities on land or in the water. The superb water quality and amazing marine life make Nacula Island one of the best dive spots in Fiji. If you don’t do scuba, dive in with a snorkel. And if you don’t do either water sport, follow walking trails over the rolling hills to find secluded coves. For 360-degree views of all of Nacula’s wonders at once, go above Nabua Lodge on the two- to three-hour return hike. Whatever you choose, you’ll be sure to love it.
