Located right on Banff Avenue, three blocks from the downtown area, Banff International Hostel is within easy walking distance to many of Banff attractions, restaurants and bars. A local bus service stop is just a 2 minute walk away that can take you to Canmore or up to Sulphur Mountain and the Banff Upper Hot Springs. There are three ski hills nearby and bus transport to the hills is available within a two minute walk away. All rooms have en-suite washrooms and free Wi-Fi access. Continental breakfast is included in all room rates and tea and coffee is available all day. The hostel also provide seasonings and oil in our fully equipped kitchen.

The buildings are nice and facilities are clean and well maintained. In the summer the rooms can be very very hot with limited ventilation making sleeping difficult. Fans are available but not too effective.

Very friendly staff with plenty of activities to do. Only wish I could have spent more time there.

Banff is a resort town in the province of Alberta, located within Banff National Park. The peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade, part of the Rocky Mountains, dominate its skyline. On Banff Avenue, the main thoroughfare, boutiques and restaurants mix with château-style hotels and souvenir shops. The surrounding 6,500 square kilometres of parkland are home to wildlife including elk and grizzly bears. Ski resorts within the national park boundaries include Mt. Norquay, just outside Banff; Sunshine Village, known for its vertical rise of 1,070 meters; and Lake Louise, home of the annual Alpine Ski World Cup races. Popular warm-weather activities are hiking and biking, as well as white-water rafting on the Bow River and boating on Lake Minnewanka. Year-round, visitors can soak in the geothermally heated Banff Upper Hot Springs and ride the Banff Gondola up 2,451m-high Sulphur Mountain. In November, Banff Centre hosts a renowned film and book festival.
