Reviews

Nice breakfast, strength of WiFi signal to top floor is sufficient, located near the bazaar and fisherman harbour, clean facilities, plenty of tables and chairs on roof top and internal rest area, and available hot water. About 25 minutes of walk from either central bus station or CTM bus station.

Lovely old riad with interesting and colourful features. Perfect location within the medina but silent apart from seagulls.

Essaouira

Essaouira is a port city and resort on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Its medina (old town) is protected by 18th-century seafront ramparts called the Skala de la Kasbah, which were designed by European engineers. Old brass cannons line the walls, and there are ocean views. Strong "Alizée" trade winds make the city’s crescent beach popular for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. Pedestrianized Place Moulay Hassan is the medina’s focal point. At the Bab Marrakech entrance, craftsmen sell woodwork, weaving and other goods at the Ensemble Artisanal. Cafe terraces overlook the square. The nearby Souk des Bijoutiers is a collection of jewelry shops. Occupying a 19th-century mansion, the Musée Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah displays local musical instruments, furniture and traditional garments. The walkway at the Skala du Port overlooks the activities of local fishermen and boat builders. About 3 kilometers south of town, Diabat has a golf course designed by champion golfer Gary Player.
